Person-to-Person is a not-for-profit,
volunteer driven agency that
responds to our neighbors who lack the
basic necessities and resources
to improve their lives. By
offering clients distributions of food,
clothing, emergency cash
grants, and funds for scholarship and camp
programs,
Person-to-Person supports clients as they work toward self-
sufficiency.
Last year, Person-to-Person served 24,000 people who live
in the
greater Stamford and Norwalk area.
2009 Statistics
- 24,000
clients used Person-to-Person services
- 1,200 families received
financial assistance
- 13,000 people received food (up 10% from 2008)
- 66 families a day visited the clothing center
- 142 college students
received financial assistance
- 286 babies were welcomed with a Baby
Basics layette
- 1,300 children received a new toy and book at
Christmas
- 394 children attended summer camp
